From the conference Hotel, our journey begins heading to the stunning Mirogoj Cemetery<\/strong>, regarded as one of the most beautiful cemeteries in Europe. Designed by the renowned architect Hermann Bolle in the late 19th century, Mirogoj is more than a cemetery\u2014it\u2019s an open-air gallery adorned with exquisite arcades and statues. As you stroll through this peaceful haven, you\u2019ll encounter the resting places of Croatia\u2019s most notable figures.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, we will go directly to Zagreb\u2019s main railway station<\/strong>. This historic station was once a key stop on the famous Orient Express route. Nearby, you\u2019ll see the majestic Esplanade Hotel<\/strong>, built to host the Orient Express passengers, evoking an era of glamour and luxury. The station will be our second stop.<\/p>\n

Third stop will happen at the magnificent Croatian National Theatre<\/strong>, often referred to as the Opera House<\/strong>. This neo-baroque masterpiece, with its golden fa\u00e7ade, stands as a proud symbol of Zagreb\u2019s rich cultural scene.<\/p>\n

On the way you will see parts of Zagreb\u2019s Green Horseshoe<\/strong>, a sequence of 8 connected parks and squares.<\/p>\n

From the Theater the tour continues on foot; heading to the upper town. On our way we will be able to admire the Museum of Arts and Crafts<\/strong><\/p>\n

As we embark on a walk that takes us deeper into Zagreb\u2019s history. Our walk from the Opera House leads us towards the city\u2019s Upper Town<\/strong>, where the city\u2019s medieval charm is on full display.<\/p>\n

As we climb towards the Upper Town we will explore the area\u2019s rich political and cultural history. Here, you will see Parliament<\/strong> and the Government buildings<\/strong>, the center of Croatia\u2019s political power, and the iconic St. Mark\u2019s Church<\/strong>, famed for its vibrant, tiled roof that depicts the coats of arms of Croatia, Dalmatia, and Slavonia.<\/p>\n

As we continue through Gradec(Upper town), you\u2019ll also discover the elegant baroque St. Catherine\u2019s Church<\/strong> and the historic Lotr\u0161\u010dak Tower<\/strong>, which once protected the city from invaders.<\/p>\n

Crossing from Gradec to Kaptol<\/strong>, we will pass through the historic Stone Gate<\/strong>, the only remaining medieval gate in Zagreb, still standing as a reminder of the city\u2019s fortified past.<\/p>\n

We will visit Ban Jela\u010di\u0107 Square<\/strong>, the vibrant heart of Zagreb. This bustling square, named after the famous Croatian nobleman and military leader, is where the pulse of the city can truly be felt, surrounded by cafes, shops, and beautiful architecture.<\/p>\n

We will then conclude our tour at Kaptol<\/strong>, one of Zagreb\u2019s oldest areas, and the home of the stunning Zagreb Cathedral<\/strong>, the largest cathedral in Croatia. At Dolac Farmers\u2019 Market<\/strong>, you\u2019ll get a taste of local life, with colorful stalls selling fresh produce, flowers, and handcrafted goods.<\/p>\n
